Arrangements
We have booked a hotel in Santiago for our short stay there before embarking for Easter Island. On Easter Island we have booked an AirBnB which is called Tipi Tipi Hoe Bungalow, (see below) This is situated near the sea in the main town of Hanga Roa. We will be joining Mike and Krista who we met in Colombia in December and Krista's sister Beverly. These three adventurous travelers have just returned from a trip to the Far East. We will share some tours with them and also enjoy some dinners with the local fare. They are staying not far away also at an AirBnB. One of the places I am hoping to visit is the music school established by the accomplished Rapa Nui pianist Mahani Teave. Some years ago, a cruise liner landed a piano here and Mahani taught herself the piano, became very good and has released a CD with classical music and also some arrangements of local music which she has adapted. She has toured the world playing at many cities, including here in New York where we heard her
